    Puzanov meets with the PRC Ambassador to the DPRK, Qiao Xiaoguang, and tells him about his trip to Hamgyong with Kim Il Sung. Both Ambassadors express respect for the hard work of the Korean people, acknowledge the shortcomings of the DPRK economy, and discuss the movement to regulate the work style of the Korean people. Qiang is unwilling to discuss intra-Party aspects of the KWP, but he agrees to continue exchanging information with Puzanov in the future.

    Nam Il asks Puzanov about the possibility of a Soviet parliamentary delegation to the DPRK. Puzanov states the obstacles and proposes alternatives. Then they discuss relations with the PRC and the PRC Ambassador Qiao Xiaoguang.

    Kim Il Sung tells Puzanov that the North Korean delegation to Moscow seeks consultation for the first DPRK five-year plan and the development of economic ties between the DPRK and the USSR. He states the expected North Korean production increases in agriculture, industry, consumer goods, capital investment, and export goods. Kim Il Sun also articulates the intended goals of the first five-year plan.

    Puzanov and Nam Il discuss the KWP CC Presidium's violation of Leninist norms during the August Plenum, possible leadership transitions in the KWP CC, and how the KWP is handling individual dissidents. Later, Puzanov discusses the CPSU CC's approval for education and cultural exchange as well as the Plenum's June decisions with Pak Jeong-aei.

    Kim Il Sung and Puzanov discuss a meeting with representatives of the CPSU CC and SKYu CC, the American violation of the Korean Armistice agreement, and the Korean people's mixed reactions to the CPSU CC Plenum's June decision to expose factionalists and consolidate the party.

    Puzanov participates in the meeting to welcome the unofficial North Korean economic delegation's return from the USSR. In his conversation with Pak Jeong-ae and Kim Chang-man, Puzanov suggests that Soviet journalists visit many different sectors of DPRK society to provide a more thorough understanding of North Korea.

    Puzanov meets with North Korean leaders at sporting events to celebrate Korea's liberation, and they discuss friendly sports exchanges between the Soviet Union and DPRK. Kim Il Sung informs Puzanov that the DPRK will revise its draft of the first five-year plan according to Soviet suggestions before the economic delegation goes to China for consultation. Later, the Russian and Bulgarian Embassies host a successful showing of a film, and the Soviets inform the PRC Ambassador Qiao Xiaoguang of Soviet consultations of the DPRK economic plan.
