Pravda Newspaper Article on the Decision of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet Concerning the USSR CM [Council of Ministers]

The presidium of the Supreme Soviet Council, at the request of the chairman of the USSR Council Of Ministers, comrade N.A. Bulganin, made the following decisions:

  1. In addition to comrades L.M. Kaganovich and V.M. Molotov, appointed comrades A.I. Mikoyan, M.G. Pervushin, and M.Z. Saburov as vice chairmen of the USSR Council of Ministers.
  2. Appointed comrades A.P. Zaveniagin, V.A. Kucherneko, P.P. Lobanov, and M.V. Khrunichev as deputy chairmen of the USSR Council of Ministers.
  3. Given that comrade V.A. Malyshev is assigned by the USSR Council of Ministers with the task of overseeing several departments in the Ministry of Medium Machine Building of the USSR, [the Presidium] decided to relieve comrade V.A. Malyshev from his responsibilities as minister of Medium Machine Building.
  4. Comrade A.P. Zaveniagin, USSR Council of Ministers vice chairman, was appointed as minister of Medium Machine Building.
