TO DIVISION GENERAL

Cde. Chocha

 

Dear Cde. General!

 

In accordance with the agreement that has been reached and instructions of the OVS staff I request you [give] instructions to let our troops pass through Polish territory and for the temporary stationing of one division in POLAND in the area of SwietoszOw; they plan to move out on their own by rail.

 

The routes of advance are:

 

Nº 1 - MAMONOWO, MALBORK, CHOJNICE, WALCZ, CZLOPA, GorzOw Wielkopolski, KOSTRZYN;

 

Nº 2 - BAGRATIONOVSK, ORNETA, KWIDZYN, GRUDZIADZ, SWIECIE, TUHOLA, PILA, KRZYZ, SKWIERZINA, RZEPIN, SLUBICE;

 

Nº 3 - ZHELEZNODOROZYNY, OLSZTYN, CHELMNO, CHODZIEZ, MIEDZYRZECZ, GUBIN;

 

Nº 4 - ZAOZERNOE, MRAGOWO, BRODNICA, BYDGOSZCZ, SULECHOW, ZASIEKI;

 

Nº 5 - OZERSK, GIZICKO, RYPIN, TORUN, LESZNO, NOWA SOL, ZARKI-WIELKIE;

 

Nº 6 - BREST, SIEDLCE, GORA-KALWARIA, RAWA MAZOWIECKA, PABIANICE, KALISZ, RAWICZ, GLOGOW;

 

Nº 7 - BREST, DEblin, RADOM, PIOTRKOW-TRYBUNALSKI, WIELUN, OLESNICA, SCINAWA.

 

Day rests are in the areas of:

 

- CZERSK, LEDYCZEK, CHELMNO, LIDZBARK, and KWIDZYN.

 

The headquarters of the army [is to be] in the area of a forest north of GrudziAdz;

 

- STZELCE KRAJENSKE, KOSTRZYN, WOLSZTYN, WAGROWIEC.  Army headquarters is to be in the area northwest of PNIEWY.

 

- RAWA MAZOWIECKA, OPOCZNO (excluding) RADOM, GROJEC.  Division headquarters [is to be] in PRZYSUHA.

 

- KOBYLIN, OLESNICA, WIERUSZOW, (excluding) KALISZ. Division headquarters [is to be] in OLESNICA.

 

River crossings are planned at bridges in the regions of:

the rivers WISLA, MALBORK, GrudziAdz, CHELMNO, BYDGOSZCZ, TORUN, GORA-KALWARIA, and DEblin.

 

The river WARTA - GorzOw Wielkopolski, SKWIERZINA, OBORNIKI, POZNAN, SREM, and SCINAWA;

 

The river ODER - KOSTRZYN, SLUBICE, MASZEWO, KROSNO ODRZANSKIE, NOWA SOL, GLOGOW, and SCINAWA;

 

The river NIESSE - LUZYCKA-GUBIN, ZASIEKI, and ZARKI-WIELKIE (BAD MUSKAU).

 

At the same time please assist Soviet troops in the performance of their missions when traveling through PNR territory:

 

- designate two telephone channels for government communications KALININGRAD, GrudziAdz; PNIEWY and PNIEWY [SIC], LEGNICA;

 

- designate telephone communication channels in the areas of the troops' day rest and for the traffic control service at the request of our command;

 

- support the crossing of the rivers WISLA, WARTA, and ODER.
