I participated in a conference held at the DPRK MFA. [The following] participated in the conference: Nam Il, the ambassadors of the PRC, CSR, and PNR, the PRC and PNR representatives in the Military Armistice Commission, the CSR and PNR representatives in the Neutral Commission, and also DPRK MFA officials.

As was stipulated on 11 June the issue of what position to take if the Americans suggest changing Article 13 of the Armistice Agreement in the Military or Neutral Commission was considered at the conference.

After an exchange of opinions (stenographers from our Embassy took notes, therefore I am not providing separate statements), we came to a unanimous opinion: vigorously oppose any attempts directed at reconsidering the Armistice Agreement, particularly Article 13 of the agreement.

Emphatically seek precise adherence to the Agreement, expose in the press and radio the provocative nature of the fabrications of American ruling circles and the South Koreans about violations of the Armistice Agreement allegedly being committed by the Korean-Chinese side, and show the true goal of these fabrications.

The DPRK MFA is to develop specific measures in this direction with representatives of the Military and Neutral Commissions.

In conclusion Nam Il asked the ambassadors to report to their governments about the above and asked whether there were any comments…
