Down with the British-American Imperialists
These are some of the writings on most store walls yesterday. On the sides of others were drawn the hammer and sickle symbols. I also noticed an increase in writings about this in Armenian in the streets of Ras Beirut, where lots of such writings were drawn.
As for writing against Husni Al-Za’im, I read these on the wall facing Dr. Muhammed Ruh Al-Ghandoor’s house in the Mina’ Al-Hisn neighborhood, and on Bliss and Corniche streets.

At the same time, fliers signed by the Labor Union Syndicates were distributed. These were dated Apr. 28, but copies of them were passed out yesterday.
