The Soviet Police have Captured and Wounded Chinese and Vietnamese Students who were Protesting against the United States

At 3:30pm on the 4th [of March], Chinese students studying abroad participated in protests against the United States hosted by students from many different countries studying abroad at Moscow University.  They were met by Soviet soldiers, mounted police, fire trucks, water hoses, etc., all protecting a close perimeter around the American embassy.  Furthermore, the Soviet police beat and arrested the protesting students.  According to early information, of the protesting Chinese students, one was arrested and taken away (LI Youfu), one was severely injured (HUANG Zhaogeng), and one suffered minor injuries.  According to reports by the Vietnamese students, four of their classmates were arrested.  Currently the protesters are waiting outside the American embassy for a representative from the Soviets.  The above is a special report.
