Rio de Janeiro December 5th, 1967 CNEN -C Your Excellency Mr. Oscar Quihillalt del Libertado Avenue number 8250 Buenos Aires - Argentina Ref.: Letter 11/14/1967 Mr. President, I am pleased to inform your Excellency that we received a letter inviting us to the inauguration of Ezeiza Atomic Center on 20th December. At the occasion, we will also be invited for a scientific exchange between Argentine and Brazilian technicians to whom your Excellency gently extended the invitation. It is with great honour that I accept the invitation that besides the opportunity to attend the inauguration of another Center of atomic research in Latin America, it will provide me with the opportunity of visiting this beautiful and brother country and of strengthening the traditional bonds of friendship and fraternity between the Argentines and Brazilians. I will depart from Rio de Janeiro at 9:30h on 18th, using Varig, flight RG-841 accompanied by the following technicians, who will take part in the scientific conversation: Professor Hervásio Guimarães de Carvalho - member of the board of CNEN; engineer Helcio Modesto da Costa - my Chief of Staff; Professor Rômulo Ribeiro Pieroni - Director of the Institute of Radioactivity Research of Minas Gerais; Engineer Sergio Gorreta Mundim of the Institute of Nuclear Engineering of Guanabara, Engineer Julio Jansen Laborne advisor of planning and development, and engineer Hernani Augusto Lopes de Amorim of the administration and production of monazite. While I wait for the moment of personally greeting you, I would like to convey my warmest regards to your Excellency.
