蒋总统,钧鉴据要人密告此次美空军次长偕代理空军总参某长赴日本韩国及冲绳岛视察美空军及韩国对方空军实力,周末返美即向议员拨款。委员会报告坚持恢复扩充空军至一百四十三大队,预算按原额,业经照准并据告。昨日该次长晋谒杜总统,陈报韩战局势,曾言联合国军总司令克拉克将军、海军总司令赖德福及空军总司令魏伦均以应付韩战,颇感后备兵力不足。均主张商用我国军前往参战。杜总统颇为动容,似与前此态度不同云。 OO 夕齐 5/壹)
