RADIO BROADCAST

PARIS, French, 23 October, transcript.

LONDON. From London they report: the Soviet Embassy in London has declared that the state of health of Generalissimo Stalin is excellent, but that he is resting in the south of Russia with his daughter Svetlana in connection with the enormous nervous tension associated with his work during the war.

They say that Generalissimo Stalin might refuse [otkazat’sya] the rank of Generalissimo of the Red Army.

The correspondent of the Sunday Times in Moscow suspects that Generalissimo Stalin is busy with preparation of the issue of how to smooth out those rough spots which appeared at the conference in London. According to the statement of the same correspondent, Generalissimo Stalin will announce the decisions he has made in his speech which he will give on the radio on 7 November.
