TO THE MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF THE CSSR

 

to Cde. Josef KUDRNA

 

Dear Cde. Minister!

 

In reply to your letter of 10 May of this year we report that [the following] have been appointed for the discussion and elaboration of the procedure for joint border monitoring of trains and passengers crossing the Soviet-Czechoslovak border: General-Major V. A. FIRSTENKO, Deputy Chief of the Troops of the Western Border District; Lt. Col. A. G. STATUYEV, Senior Officer of the Main Directorate of Border Troops; and Lt. Col. P. P. KOLESNIK, Chief of the Chop Independent Border Crossing Control Point.

 

If there are no other proposals from your side our comrades are ready to meet and begin work in Kiev with the representatives you appoint on 22 August of this year, with a subsequent visit to this Chop and Cierna[-nad-Tisou] stations.
