Problem of the Release of the American Hostages (Addendum)

First Middle East Division

There was news reporting from Washington on the 18th that President Reagan, in a speech that day, publicly acknowledged that Benjamin Weir was released on the 14th and announced that he would do everything possible for the release of the remaining six hostages.

(In addition, we are now looking into the details via our Embassy in the United States.)
