Untitled Note on a Request for Assistance from the Socialist Party of Cuba to the Central Committee of the CPSU
The leadership of the People's Socialist Party of Cuba addressed the Central Committee of the CPSU with a request for assistance in conducting a campaign of solidarity with the struggling Cuban people. Cuban comrades report that due to the failure of attempts to suppress the democratic and national liberation struggle of the Cuban people, the dictatorial government of Batista has recently launched a massive campaign of terror against various sectors of the Cuban population. At the same time, Batista, with the active assistance of American imperialist circles, is preparing for a new open armed intervention of the United States in Cuba. Cuban comrades ask for help in exposing government terror and the interference of American imperialism in Cuban affairs. They asked us to also convey their request to other fraternal parties.
For its part, the CPSU Central Committee intends to come out in support of the struggling Cuban people through the press, radio and public organizations.
