Kryuchkov, Vladimir Alexandrovich 1924- 2007

Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kryuchkov was a Russian politician, statesman, and Army General. Kryuchkov was a leader of the attempted August Coup of 1991.

Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kryuchkov was a Russian politician, statesman, and Army General. Kryuchkov was a leader of the attempted August Coup of 1991.

In 1988-1991, Kryuchkov was the head of KGB. In 1989-1990, he was a member of Politburo. During the August Coup of 1991, Kryuchkov was a member of the State Emergency Committee, for which he would be prosecuted and sentenced. He was freed by the amnesty of the State Duma in 1994.
