In a cable to the Soviet leadership, Soviet Ambassador to Iran Ivan Sadchikov reports that the Iranian government is requesting bombers and tanks to put down a Qashqai revolt near Shiraz. Sadchikov notes that the Iranian army remains concentrated at the border with Azerbaijan and already possesses bombers and tanks that it has employed against Azerbaijanis. He asks for instructions on how to reply should a formal request be made.

CPSU CC decree and draft of document to be submitted to Iranian government. Notes that the exchange of letters between Mohammad Mossadegh and US Deputy Secretary of State Henderson indicate that the two parties have reached a deal on military assistance. Document states that this is a breach of neighborly relations and that, in reaching this agreement, the Iranian government has acted against the Soviet Union.

Report distributed among top Soviet officials analyzing the exchange of letters between Mohammad Mossadegh and US Deputy Secretary of State Henderson. Notes that, although not explicitly mentioning it, the letters were likely about renewed US military aid to Iran.

Report distributed among top Soviet officials updating the ongoing Soviet-Iranian negotiations over financial claims. Notes that Soviet delegation has rejected as premature the Iranian offer to begin working on a final protocol, on the grounds that the balance of favor is leaning too far toward Iran at this point.
