V. Pelishenko recounts a meeting with Pak Jeong-ae in which the two discussed inter-Korean relations and North Korean economic planning.

Among other personal issues, Park Jeong-ae discusses the results of the Party conference and KWP CC Plenum, in which speeches regarding the draft of the first five-year plan were discussed, some ministries were criticized, and preparations for uprising of factionalist groups are discovered.

Puzanov participates in the meeting to welcome the unofficial North Korean economic delegation's return from the USSR. In his conversation with Pak Jeong-ae and Kim Chang-man, Puzanov suggests that Soviet journalists visit many different sectors of DPRK society to provide a more thorough understanding of North Korea.

Puzanov notes his protocol visits to other foreign representatives in North Korea. He relays his understanding of the DPRK's five-year plan to the Ambassador of China, Qiao Xiaoguang. Later, Puzanov summarizes Pak Jeong-ae's explanation of the need for increased vigilance against South Korea as well as news of an upcoming conference of women.

The Polish Embassy provides information on the KWP Central Committee, the Supreme People's Assembly, agreements to receive assistance from communist countries, and the situation of industries, education, and health in North Korea.
