October 28, 1962	Note, R. Malinovsky to Comrade N.S. Khruschev [about a US U-2 Aircraft] A letter to Khrushchev detailing the shooting down of a US U-2 aircraft that attempted to take photographs of Soviet troops on the island of Cuba.
January 16, 1963	Diary Entry of Amintore Fanfani for 16 January 1963 Fanfani covered the events of the day in this journal entry, noting that he told Kennedy he would make no commitment on the Jupiter-Polaris replacement until he spoke with McNamara. With McNamara, Fanfani emphasized the point about using the Jupiter base for space launches. Both Kennedy and McNamara denied that there was a trade with the USSR, with McNamara emphasizing the risks posed by the Jupiters during the Missile Crisis.

Khrushchev expresses concern about Japan's military ties with the US, given that there are US army bases in Japan. The Japanese delegation inquires about the permission for Japanese fishermen to use the Soviet fishing grounds and a chance to establish aerial communication between Japan and the Soviet Union. Khrushchev affirms the Soviet-Japanese friendship and expresses willingness to conduct trade.

Khrushchev suggests signing the peace agreement to avoid the possibility of a nuclear war against the US and its allies
September 19, 1958	Note of Cde. N.S. Khrushchev to the CC Presidium about the Preparation of Documents with a Proposal to Convene a Conference of Heads of Governments on the Question of the Situation in the Area of Taiwan Outlines of two proposed documents for the Soviet Union to deliver, one to President Eisenhower and one to the 13th UN General Assembly. The proposed texts discuss the conflict between China and Taiwan and a potential meeting between the heads of state of the US, USSR, PRC, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Burma, Cambodia, and Thailand to review the situation.
