Number 87/ Yesterday at 10:00 AM, Mr. Kingevich and Renski, the two secret agents who serve one of the foreign intelligence services.
The purpose of their visit was to get the name of the Red Russian priest who replaced Monsignor Nectin, so I informed them that his name is Sergei Kazanski.
They wanted to know whether Mr. Lovin, head of the Soviet Nationals Committee, really works for the Lebanese Ministry of Public Works, so I answered them that he is water testing expert hired by the Water Service at the Public Works Department to conduct some tests as an engineer and not as an employee there.
They asked me if there was a disagreement between Federov and the Legation, so I answered that I had no knowledge of that.
I should mention that this disagreement in fact exists due to the Legation’s support for Lovin’s presidency of the Soviet Nationals Committee against Federov.
Then they asked me if Samokhin was still living at the Khasho building, headquarters of the Committee, and whether the government was still banning meetings there. I answered them that Samokhin was still there and that meetings are banned.
