Letter from the Embassy of Pakistan to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (No. 3132.F.129/55)

The Embassy of Pakistan present their compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China and with reference to the Embassy’s Note No.2145-F-129/54, dated 14th May, 1954 regarding dispossession of the house, landed property, fifty pieces of timber etc. of Syed Ahmah Shah, a Pakistan national in Yarkand (Sha Che) have the honour to state that Syed Ahmah Shah continues to be confronted with difficulties and harships pending settlement of his claims. This case was also brought to the notice of H.E. Mr. Chang Han-fu, the Vice-Foreign Minister in an Aide Memoire handed over to him by the former Ambassador of Pakistan General N.A.M. Raza on the 28th October, 1954.

It will thus be seen that this case has been outstanding for a long time and it would be appreciated if early steps could be taken to alleviate Syed Ahmad Shah’s hardships through a speedy settlement of his claims. This is all the more necessary as Syed Ahmad Shah proposes to leave for Pakistan on settlement of his claims.

3. The Embassy of Pakistan avail themselves of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China the assurances of their highest consideration.
