Letter from the Embassy of Pakistan to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (No. 1303-F-186/53)

The Embassy of Pakistan present their compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China and have the honour to state that a Pakistan national, Haji Ghulam Mohammad Khan has approached this Embassy for recovery of one pistol with a magazine for 9 rounds from the local authorities in Sinkiang.
2. Mr. Khan while residing in Kashgar deposited his pistol and shot gun with the local authorities for registration. The Chief of Police, Kashgar, returned his shot gut and is said to have kept his pistol in custody. The pistol was not returned to him when Mr. Khan left Kashgar for Pakistan on the 13th of October 1951.
3. The Embassy of Pakistan shall be grateful if the local authorities could be requested to return the pistol to this Embassy for onward transmission to the owner.
The Embassy of Pakistan avail themselves of this opportunity of renewing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China the assurances of their highest consideration.
