June 10, 1970	Col. Mieczysław Białek, 'Record of Conversation of the Marshall of the Soviet Union Com. Zakharov with Com. Kim Il Sung during Com. Zakharov's Visit in the DPRK' Kim Il Sung mentioned his gratitude to the Soviet Union. Kim discussed the impact of the Cultural Revolution on China and Sino-DPRK ties, and his wish to improve relations with the USSR.
November 1, 1962	Józef Dryglas, 'Record of Conversation with USSR Ambassador V. Moskovsky' Moskovsky advised Pak Geum-cheol and Kim Chang-man to cooperate with the Soviet-led socialist bloc. Conversation with Kim Il Sung and Moskovsky imply strong relations with the Soviet Union.

Sudarikov, Soviet Ambassador to the DPRK, 'Record of a Conversation with General Secretary of the CC and Chairman of the DPRK Cabinet of Ministers, Kim Il Sung' Sudarikov briefs Kim Il Sung about the meeting of the two leaders from the Soviet Union and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, which led to closer relations between the countries.
July 27, 1969	From the Journal of N.G. Sudarikov, 'General Secretary of the CC and Chairman of the DPRK Cabinet of Ministers, Kim Il Sung' Sudarikov briefs Kim Il Sung on the issues discussed at the International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties. Sudarikov and Kim Il Sung also discuss relations between the Soviet Union and China, as well as the DPRK’s position on the demarcation line.
July 6, 1972	From the Journal of N.G. Sudarikov, 'Record Of A Conversation with Kim Il Sung, General Secretary of the KWP CC and Chairman of the DPRK Cabinet of Ministers, 19 June 1972' Kim Il Sung expresses satisfaction toward Brezhnev’s positions regarding Korea and Vietnam which were made during talks with U.S. President Nixon. Kim also criticizes Park Chung Hee for suppressing the opposition in South Korea, including the imprisonment of Kim Dae-jung.
May 15, 1972	From the Journal of N.G. Sudarikov, 'Record of a Conversation with Kim Il Sung, General Secretary of the KWP CC and Chairman of the DPRK Cabinet of Ministers, 9 May 1972' Kim Il Sung credits the diplomatic achievements and economic development of North Korea for creating greater opposition and chaos in South Korea. He also broaches how the two Koreas have different opinions on family reunions.
January 23, 1956	Journal of Soviet Ambassador to the DPRK V. I. Ivanov for 23 January 1956 Ivanov informs Kim Il Sung about Khrushchev’s and Bulganin’s visit to India, Burma, and Afghanistan.
September 21, 1956	Telegram from A. Mikoyan to the CPSU Central Committee A meeting with Kim Il Sung reveals the main goals of the Sino-Soviet delegation: to convince the Korean Workers' Party to move away from policies of repression and to repeal the order to expel the group of accused party officials. Kim agrees on repealing the expulsion order, but not for those who fled to China. Mikoyan asks that Sino-Soviet delegation be allowed to sit in on the presidium meeting the next day.
September 23, 1956	Telegram from A. Mikoyan to the CPSU Central Committee Mikoyan once again assures Kim Il Sung that the Sino-Soviet delegation's only motive in intervening is to help and advise the Korean Workers' Party. Kim vows to include the delegation's suggestions and the content of their discussions in the September Plenum. Mikoyan notes that Kim kept his promise at the plenary meeting that was held the next day.
